This Easy Strawberry Lemonade is refreshing, sweet, and tangy! So easy to make that you’ll make it all summer long.
Super Easy and Quick Strawberry Lemonade Recipe
Sweet and tangy, this strawberry lemonade is such a refreshing summer drink!
In the summertime, I prepare lots of lemonades, agua fresca, tizana, etc., to help keep up hydrating in fun and delicious ways.
This homemade strawberry lemonade is so much tastier than store-bought. You’re going to want to make this drink again and again! You can even let your kids help out in making this kid-friendly recipe. Pass them a large wooden spoon and have them stir the drink together in the pitcher.
Bring a pitcher of freshly-squeezed strawberry lemonade to your next barbecue, potluck, or picnic, and you will see how people will actually freak out in a good way, of course.
INGREDIENTS YOU’LL NEED
Amounts are included in the printable recipe below (scroll down). You’ll need:
- Strawberries — washed and halved. Frozen strawberries can be used if you don’t have any fresh berries on hand.
- Water
- Honey
- Fresh lemon juice
- Grenadine (optional) – this is the reason my lemonade is super red.
- Ice
- Fresh mint for garnish (optional)
HOW TO MAKE STRAWBERRY LEMONADE
Detailed instructions are included in the printable recipe below (scroll down).
1 – BLEND THE STRAWBERRIES
Place the strawberries, 1 cup of water, and honey in a blender. Blend at medium speed, about 1 -2 minutes.
Strain strawberry mix through a fine mesh strainer.
2 – STRAIN AND MIX THE STRAWBERRY LEMONADE
Place the strained strawberry juice, fresh lemon juice, grenadine, and the remaining water in a jar. Mix until everything is well incorporated. Taste and add additional honey or/and water, if needed. Keep in refrigerator and enjoy within two days.
QUICK RECIPE TIPS
- You may not even need to add much sweetener depending on how naturally sweet your strawberries are. So feel free to adjust the proportions of water and honey depending on how sweet and strong you like your lemonade.
- The brighter the strawberries, the riper they are. Pick the reddest ones you can find for the sweetest strawberry lemonade.
- You’re going to want freshly squeezed lemon juice for the lemonade and not the bottled stuff. Bottled doesn’t taste as fresh and bright as fresh.
- You can change things up by using sparkling water instead of regular water.
- Don’t have strawberries? Try this with blueberries!
- If you want you can replace honey with sugar, agave, stevia, or another natural sweetener.
- Add a splash of vodka to turn this into a strawberry lemonade cocktail!
CAN I USE FROZEN STRAWBERRIES?
Yes! You can still enjoy strawberry lemonade in winter by substituting it with frozen strawberries.
WHAT IS GRENADINE?
Grenadine is a non-alcoholic syrup made from pomegranate juice, sugar, and lemon juice. It has a sweet-tart flavor and a deep red color. It is commonly used to boost sweetness and bright color in mocktails and cocktails.
STORING INSTRUCTIONS
Store the lemonade in a pitcher with a lid in the refrigerator for up to 5 to 7.

Congratulations on your first grandbaby Oriana! We had our first grandson three years ago and it’s the best feeling ever. My mom always told me as parents we love our kids but there is just something about the love of a grandchild. I never knew what she meant until Isaiah was born.
And the good part is they keep you feeling young. It motivated me to be healthy because I want to be around for a long time for them. 🙂
Thank you for sharing this recipe. This drink sounds so good and the way you showcased it here, it looks so pretty. 🙂
Have a wonderful weekend!
