A few days ago, we had our first family photo session!
Family is the most important thing we have in our lives! And having these images that we will appreciate for many years was a priority.
Time passes by so quickly, and children grow so fast that we need to do this. For example, look at our oldest daughter Andrea. It seems like only yesterday that she was a little girl, and now she is a woman. We have many pictures of her and adorable pictures too, but we never had the chance to do something with a professional photographer (at least we could take these before we became grandparents, lol).
My husband suggested that I should do it myself. As many of you know, I love photography, but it’s so hard for me to capture pictures of my little ones. They move, cry, one hits the other, bored, etc … at the end, after 100 photos, only 2 or 3 can image be rescued. So, for now, I prefer photographing my recipes only.
So this time, we wanted to do something different. A blogger friend recommended Becky, a professional photographer in the area, which did a fantastic job.
That day we had a little scare! After much planning, the weather showed signs that it wanted to rain. Ah! The meeting … was to take place in a nice park, so if it rained, we had to cancel everything. Thank God it did not rain during the session; in fact, we enjoyed a spectacular sunset light, but when we were heading home, the downpour was unleashed.
Becky is super charismatic with the kids. She knows how to guide them and, most importantly, in a lovely way that makes them listen to her.
Of course, my little monsters didn’t miss this time to do their monkey business. Here we see Matthew trying to escape, and in the back, you can see the little princess following his steps.
After the threat of rain, attempts to escape, allergies, and mosquitoes, here are some of the beautiful images we achieved that day.
