These Easy Frozen Banana Pops are the perfect little snack or great for adding to your meals for an extra boost! They’re super easy to make and are amazing in so many ways. Make a batch to store in the freezer and have them ready to serve when needed.
We never have enough summer snacking ideas, right?
I don’t know about your kids, but mine are hungry all the time!! It seems that with the hot weather, swimming, and other activities they’re always asking for snacks.
Of course, fresh fruit and vegetables are one of the best snacks, but sometimes we need to get creative to make them exciting and fun. Especially, if you have two picky eaters, like me.
So, I decided to prepare a week’s worth of snack during Sunday. That way, I can easily control what they eat and also have them on hand for the kids to grab when they need them.
This was my first time making banana pops. It turns out, making these is super easy! They’re perfect to have in your freezer for hot summer days when everyone’s craving something cold, delicious and refreshing.
I coated my bananas with white and dark chocolate and a variety of toppings: crushed Shredded Wheat Frosted Mixed Berry, sprinkles, nuts, and coconut flakes. My kid’s favorite variation was the one covered with crushed cereal since the cereal adds a little crunch. Plus, the Shredded Wheat Frosted Mixed Berry’s big taste of berries and the wholesomeness of 100% whole grain shredded wheat pairs perfectly with the sweet bananas and chocolate.
I bought this Tasty Twist on Shredded Wheat at my local Walmart. They also have 4 other new flavors: Shredded Wheat Frosted Cinnamon Roll, Shredded Wheat Frosted S’mores Bites, Malt-O-Meal Chocolatey Cookie Bites, and Cinnamon Pebbles. YUM. Whatever you’re into, fuel it with Shredded Wheat. Now in three new exciting flavors ready to inspire your next pursuit.
These are perfect for kids, and really anyone, who needs just a sweet and refreshing treat.
So, the next time your little one requests a snack, choose one of these Easy Frozen Banana Pops.
Enjoy!!!
